FAQ
i. what is included in your price?
the price of your session covers travelling (up to 70 miles roundtrip, every extra mile is 25¢), shooting, and editing time
ultimately, you are investing in the style and high quality of my artwork. i have spent countless years to hone my craft, resulting in receiving my associate's degree in photography from community college, and i hold myself to a professional standard to ensure that the photographs you receive are always my best!
ii. we'd really like a photoshoot, but we're on a tight budget (personal, medical reasons, etc.) can you still accommodate us?
Believe me, I understand what it's like to be in a suburban, middle class family struggling to make ends meet, especially in the state of Illinois. My family has fought through several illnesses-including epilepsy and cancer-doctor's visits, a recession, losing jobs, and at one point, even almost losing our house. As a result, I will be willing to charge whatever you are able to afford only during that time of need. I never want anyone to feel like they cannot have their fondest memories captured because money is holding them back
iii. where are you located?
I am located in Chicago's west suburbs-about 30 miles away from the city-and I love to travel! at the moment, any traveling I do for photography is within the midwestern USA, namely the Chicago suburbs in Illinois, and southern Wisconsin. If there is another midwestern state you would like me to travel to (Indiana, Michigan, Iowa, Minnesota, etc.), I will find the most affordable manner to come out, and do everything I can to accommodate you!
I would like to be in a good place sometime soon to be able to travel outside of the Midwest for a session
iv. how and when will we receive our pictures?
Editing usually takes about 2+ hours for every hour of shooting. As a result, your pictures will be delivered to you usually around 2-3 days, but no longer than 2 weeks, in an online gallery through Pixieset. There, you are able to download photos, as well as share them with friends and family, select your favorites, and even order prints!
v. how many photos will we receive?
The number of photographs you will receive will depend on the type of session you choose, but you should expect more than 20 pictures every time. I choose quality of the images over quantity every time and give you the best of the best!
Also, session pictures, both raw and edited files, are backed up on a hard drive, and I keep all my SD cards. All edited files are saved in Lightroom and google drive
vi. will our pictures be posted on the internet?
That is completely at your discretion; I always accommodate everyone's levels of satisfaction. You will fill out a release form before your shoot that describes what you are comfortable with and the extents of my use of your photos on social media, as well as my website and portfolio
